LI: To use the 5 senses and personification to help us paint a picture with words.
Balled Poem
Today for reading we worked on this task about ballad poems. We watched this ballad poem about Charlotte Anne and her difference compared to other girls. She was a woman back in the 1870s who, unlike the other women wore trousers and boots instead of skirts or dresses. She also went into the forest to cut down trees for a living. By her actions she Proved that women were as capable as men were.

Greetings in Mandarin
This week for inquiry Chavda, Joshua and I have created a D.L.O that explains how you say Hello, Goodbye and Thank you in Chinese.
Did you know that Mandarin is the official Chinese language because the government uses it?
If you would like to hear what these words sound like click on the picture.

Reading With Miss Kirkpatrick
This week in our reading group we have been discussing the way of "Bias" with Miss Kirkpatrick, Miss Kirkpatrick showed us this example.
(eg: There was a time, When more men than women were hired to play in symphonies. For some reason that was not known, the judges preferred male musicians. Today, however, most symphonies listen to the musician applicants from behind a screen so they can't see what they look like. But listen to the ability of the musician.)
By reading this most of us then knew the meaning of bias.
I now know that bias means "You only know one side"

SPag - Sub
The Subfamily The subfamily were on the subway, then they went to pick up the sub-man. Then they submerged while they were taking a submarine. They hopped out because it was sub-zero and one of them went subdue because they wanted to see what's under water. A while later the sub man talked about how he was subordinate
This is the chunky challenge. We had to find words in the dictionary that starts with sub. And put it into these grey and yellow boxes. Then we had to choose eight of them and make a paragraph of it.
